EP Review - December Rose

A new voice has made a splash in the pop industry, and that voice is December Rose. The Canadian pop vocalist is quickly becoming a beacon of hope for the often monotone pop industry, and her unique voice and melodies are going to make her a household name in the years to come. Her self-titled EP is a look into the future of December Rose. Her vocals have the jazz tone of Christina Aguilera, the soul of Sarah Bareilles and the power of Katherine McPhee, and yet her upbeat tone and passionate innocence make her something totally new and unique. You can hear it in songs like "Don't Give up on Love" and "Understand", and her hit single "Ball Game" is already a pop smash hit, making the radio waves echo with December Rose's signature sound. Although a pop artist, she sounds as if she could easily transcend genres, whether it's the old school big band and swing era of music or the jazzy singer/songwriter genre. All in all, December Rose is a mega hit in the making, and fans of great music will not want to miss out on the beginning steps of this young woman's career. There is a cinematic tone to her voice as well, as if the songs could be lifted from the radio to the silver screen. We here at On Request Magazine are super excited for this artist's career to begin to soar, and look forward to seeing what's next for her. Make sure to pick up your copy of December Rose's self titled EP now!
