FEATURED VIDEO
Our featured video this week comes to us from Bay area metallers, Mudface. The above video and single for 'Hellfoot' was just released on February 12th, and they are due to release their second national album, Bane Of Existence, is set for release on March 18th, and after hearing the single we are pretty stoked for it's release.
The band puts their core philosophy succinctly: “We want to prove that the Metal genre is NOT dead. Our music has groove and hooks, while remaining true to our roots. Our goal is to take our music beyond the Bay Area to the U.S. and the rest of the world, with a powerful and dynamic live show – No lip-synching allowed!”

FEATURED REVIEW - Crown Jwlz
Reviewed by Jacy Ray
With a name like Crown Jwlz, it sounds like this is going to be a fun trip…and it is. First I have to say the album cover is a little deceiving, with its hot pink backdrop and a very pretty blonde gracing the cover, I expected to hear yet another pop-princess but instead what I got was very pleasing sultry rock n’roll.
On her debut “California King” Crown Jwlz delivers a very polished brand of fresh artistic rock and sings of needed balance and equality while delivering a musical good time. To accomplish this she surrounded herself with an A-list team of producers that include Max Coane, Maxwell Moon and Erik Belz with Noah Georgeson behind the mixing board and mastered by Ted Jensen.
So, don’t judge an artist by their CD cover art, what you might see is a California blonde but what you get is a badass chick with something to say. Overall, you don’t have to over think the songs to like Crown Jwlz, but it’ll help you understand the music to a far greater level if you do.

Five Reasons You Need To Stop What You Are Doing And Watch This Video by The Banshee Pilot
We get a lot of requests to check out new music and new videos that artists put out. To be honest, it can get to a point that they start to just bleed into one another, unless they are in a class by themselves. Such is the case with The Banshee Pilot.
After watching the debut video for 'If You Wanted Riches, Honey, You Should Have Married A Doctor,' we felt compelled to share a short list with our readers to let you know how important it is to check it out.
-
The name of the track/video shows that there is depth to this band. Anyone can give a song a short title, but a title like this speaks to their writing ability.
-
The band is billed as a hybrid between Panic At The Disco and My Chemical Romance. Do I really need to explain this one?
-
The video is cinematic, nothing short of a mini movie. There are plenty of videos out there that are short and to the point, but the ones that stay with us are the lengthy, artfully executed videos like this one.
-
It keeps you guessing. From the very beginning, to the change in tempo, to what seems like an intermission....it's just all good.
-
This band lives up to the hype. Every last bit of it. From the vocals, to the musicianship, to the spectacle of this video......The Banshee Pilot is the real deal.
