Lions Beside Us Stand Apart From The Crowd

Lions Beside Us is a metalcore quintet that hails from the Pacific Northwest town of Spokane,
Washington. The five hardworking individuals value melody, dynamics, and mood over simple-minded "heaviness" when creating their brand of hardcore and metal. This approach, which makes them stand out amidst the glut of other heavy bands, is paramount to the sound on their recent EP No One Will Find Your Bones and the EP's two singles "The Wolfshark" and "Panty Heist," for which a music video will be premiering soon.
This is a band that values the spirit of cooperation and truly believes in the group dynamic. Guitarist Cameron Christensen and drummer Landon Gregorian had been playing together for several years under many different banners, while other musicians cycled in and out. They were soon joined by bassist Jordan Osborne, and one year later by guitarist Wilhelm Underwood and vocalist Kyle Shaffer. Being that each member came to the group with an array of musical influences, songwriting amongst them is an eclectically collaborative effort.
No One Will Find Your Bones represents a new stage for the band. While exploring themes of fear, paranoia, deception, and personal identity, the band has come together to blend savage riffing, melodic hooks, and energetic grooves. The title of the EP comes from the new single "The Wolfshark," drawing inspiration from the legacy of serial killers that hail from the Pacific Northwest and the impact that they have had on the region. Second single "Panty Heist" is an epic, heavy slab of metallic hardcore and the lyrics carry the weight of the song's sonic onslaught. This EP represents a band that has melded creatively and ideologically and will continue to create quality music.
