One of the coolest things about the rock world is when certain members in bands have moved on to a different creative environment, and they tend to form new bands with a whole new perspective than what they became known for. However, there are occasions when a band will form that is made up of members who all began with different bands, and when that happens, true magic is formed. In this case, the new band being formed is 21OCTAYNE, a rock band that has four members that showcase the true meaning of diversity in music. Made up of lead singer Hagen Grohe of the Joe Perry Project, guitarist Marco Wriedt of Axxis, drummer Alex Landenburg of Rhapsody, and bassist Andrew "The Bullet" Lauer of Paul Gilbert, each member hails from a different sub-genre within the rock and roll world, and when blended all together, the band produces a unique sound that cannot be matched in today's industry. From heavy hitting hard rock guitar riffs to classic rock ballads, each song emphasizes the diverse nature of the band, from the, (no pun intended), high octane nature of "Come Alive", the soft yet powerful lyrics of "Dear Friend", or the energetic and electrically charged "Don't Turn Away". 21OCTAYNE is a powerful emerging rock band, that seems to take elements of every rock sub genre that has been created from the origins of rock and roll and blends them into one bad-ass album. Their album "Into the Open" is a must have album for all hard rock fans.
