As summer ends and the fall and holiday months begin to descend on us , we here at On Request Magazine really get the opportunity to kick it into high gear and put out reviews of some truly great artists, bands, and more. During these months, we get a major influx of opportunities to listen to some amazing music, and it's our pleasure to share one of those bands with you now. One album you should definitely get as this fall season begins is "More", from the hit band Boiling Point! Consisting of lead singer, guitarist and pianist Eric Bjorklund, lead guitarist/BGV Jon Canfield, Taylor Wilson on bass/BGV, and Scott Bjorklund on drums, Boiling Point puts out some amazing music that can easily become anthems for any generation of listeners. After two successful album releases, with 2010's "Rules of the Broken" and 2012's EP "If Love", this third album release looks to secure a foothold for the band in the world of rock and roll, proving that the genre is not dead but alive and prospering. Taking elements of hit bands such as Switchfoot and Thousand Foot Krutch and transforming into a truly artistic masterpiece, Boiling Point showcases just how true to form their band name is in regards to the bands energy and mission with their music. At the boiling point, we undergo a major and fundamental change, becoming energized and dispersing into a whole new direction. With hit songs such as "One Day", "Leave it All Behind", and the titular track "More", the band showcases the true depth of their lyrics and their music tonally. Demonstrating a profound sense of themselves and the emotion as they inflect in their music, Boiling Point's "More" is a must have album this fall, and we look forward to watching this band prosper and grow in the years to come.
