CD REVIEW - The Lauren Wolf Band

Writer: onrequestmagazineonrequestmagazine

Capturing the theatrical and kick-ass nature of what is now considered classic rock and roll is a difficult thing to do in today's day and age. However, every once and a while a band will come along and completely embody the heart and soul of that classic rock sound. One such band is The Lauren Wolf Band, and with the release of their album "Rise Up", they are set to showcase both classic rock and modern rock, blues, soul, and retro rock and roll. Released through Chicago indie label CAU Dog Records, "Rise Up" is a fantastic blend of rock, blues, pop, soul, swamp, industrial and even Latin music. With already a hit single and official music video for the song "Run Daddy Run", this track showcases how each genre meshes together. Each song has that amazing grit and rock and roll feel from the vocals, and the music makes listeners want to get on their feet and dance. This is an album that seems to speak to a wide array of people. You almost get the feeling of living the life of an outlaw, moving through dive bars and moving from town to town. If you were living that life, and were to look up from your drink to look at the band playing, you'd find The Lauren Wolf Band. Speaking on matters of love, life, and heartbreak, the album features such hits as "Drowning in My Tears", "Home to Me", and the titular track "Rise Up". If you love classic rock and the meshing of multiple genres, or just love good music in general, then The Lauren Wolf Band's "Rise Up" is a must have album this fall. We are huge fans of this band, and hope you'll join us in waiting to see what this amazing band produces in the years to come. Pick up your copy of "Rise Up" today!
