Everlit's 'Renovate' EP Breathes New Life Into Hard Rock

Ernest Anthony Avina

EP Review of Everlit's "Renovate"

Summer has arrived, and with it comes a slew of fresh music. Looking to showcase their talent at the beginning of this summer is hard rock band, Everlit. Hailing from the rough hard rock scene of Philadelphia, PA, the band looks to extend their reach and demonstrate their power as a group with their EP, "Renovate".

Emerging as a band in 2014 after spending years playing together in the band Willpowerless, high school friends and brothers Jordan and Ryan Panfil, along with drummer Jacob Castro, found themselves forming their own path as a band when they came together with an old high school friend of theirs, guitarist Anthony Michael. Their sound is a unique blend of rockers before them, such as My Chemical Romance, The Used, and Three Days Grace. The intensity of their music can be felt in songs such as "Fake" and their hit single, "Break Away", which has already begun a successful run on Active Rock Radio and recently had an official music video take off on YouTube.

The band's first EP and foray into the rock world as a group is nothing short of powerful. The face-melting rock music is perfectly in tune with the light yet powerful vocals, creating a rich melody of untold potential. Venturing into the world with a message and a desire to kick ass and create awesome music, Everlit is poised to force hard rock back into the spotlight this summer. With a summer tour on the horizon, everyone who loves hard rock should pick up their copy of the EP, "Renovate", on iTunes now!
