Unique and original would be the first two words to pop into your mind as you listen to up and coming rockers The Mavens Telescope, and their debut album, The Seed of True Existence. Following an independent path forged by hard work, dedication and passion, this incredible group has come together to build an album all their own, and with the help of the legendary Andy VanDette, (David Bowe, Rush and Beastie Boys), they are looking to take the world by storm as one of this years final visionary newcomers to the rock scene. An indie rock/electronic groove band hailing from Brazil originally, The Mavens Telescope is truly a pioneer group that looks to explore a new kind of rock music. With songs such as 'Elephants,' 'Merging' and 'Mrs. Internet Old Times,' the band explores relations both personal and fictitious, and their tone does a masterful job of being both unique enough to stand out on its own and yet easily able to be integrated into radio stations and top music video channels.
The music is both soothing and thought-provoking, and serves to not only entertain, but to get the audience thinking on a larger scale about life in general. As the year grows closer and closer to ending, we here at On Request Magazine highly suggest you give The Mavens Telescope's The Seed of True Existence a purchase, and keep a close eye on this band as they continue to grow in the years to come.
